About
The Romania UK Bilateral Chamber of Commerce (ROUKCC) is an organisation which seeks to support Romanian and British companies to further their interests, expand their businesses and, overall, accelerate their development.
ROUKCC acts as a representative voice for businesses in both countries and transforms the ideas and concerns of its members into real action.
Founded with the goal of contributing to the growth of bilateral economic cooperation, ROUKCC’s strategic mission is to become the main platform of dialogue and the first point of contact for trade and investment matters between Romania and the United Kingdom.

At ROUKCC, we build long-lasting economic ties between Romania and the UK through clear objectives, strong business representation, and impactful bilateral activities.
Main Institutional Objectives
- Collaborate with institutions, associations and business entities in order to support joint initiatives aimed at promoting bilateral projects; in addition, ROUKCC offers Romanian businesses an appropriate representation at economic and trade events taking place in the United Kingdom.
- Maintaining a constant dialogue with the diplomatic missions and consular institutions of the two countries in order to promote bilateral business and economic opportunities, as well as for mutually beneficial cooperation and efficient information flow.
- Stimulate and support dialogue between officials, with the purpose to adopt the same or similar positions or supporting each other within the international institutions and organisations to which the two countries
- Supporting the efforts of the local governments of Romania to attract investments from private and state owned British companies in order to increase the life standards of the local people.
- Formulating informed opinions and offering solutions to the matters included on the agenda of bilateral cooperation between the two countries and providing specific expertise or consultancy for its members so that they can carry out their economic and trade projects in a sustainable manner.
Representation and promotion of companies
- Representing and supporting the general interests of its members and of the business community with bilateral economic and trade activities, in relation with central and local public institutions and authorities with responsibilities in the field of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, as well as in regards to international bodies of which the two countries are part of.
- Promoting Romanian companies, brands, products and technology in the United Kingdom and encouraging Romanian exports in order to balance the economic and trade balance between the two countries.
- Promoting business and investment opportunities, as well as promoting the business, economic and fiscal advantages that Romania offers through its geographical location and through the legislation that stimulates the attraction of foreign investments.
- Encouraging joint projects in the field of scientific research, exchange of advanced technologies and promoting educational collaborations between business and economic education institutions from Romania and the United
Main specific activities
- Organises the participation of the ROUKCC representatives or its members at business forums, fairs and exhibitions, as well as in other events, organised by ROUKCC by itself or in partnership with other entities, either in Romania or in the United Kingdom.
- Initiates or participates in the economic missions organised by Romania in the United Kingdom and welcomes to Romania British official delegations, as well as representatives of Chinese authorities or companies, at their request.
- Authorises its representatives to take part in commissions, councils and working committees with responsibilities related to the bilateral economic cooperation, constituted by public authorities and institutions and by other organisations in Romania and the United Kingdom; our representatives have the sole purpose of offering unbiased, professional and specialised expertise.
- Organises events and activities specific to a bilateral commerce hub for the fulfilment of its purpose, mission and objectives, as well as supports activities, consultancy and services dedicated to the promotion and development of bilateral cooperation projects of member companies or other economic entities.
